The Internet and Your Child Organization provides several
venues for learning Internet safety – both for adults and
children. Each covers different issues, so a person may attend all
of them without having a repeat of the material. Our training
includes:
- Youth Education - 45 to 90
minute presentations for children of all ages. We provide
training to schools, youth organizations, and home school
associations.
- Community meetings - 60 to 90
minute presentations for PTAs, church groups, business meetings,
etc. These are appropriate for adults as well as children.
- Teacher training - 3 hour
teacher in-service training provided to school districts.
Continuing education credits are available for educators and
officers.
- The Internet and Your Child –
Parents Education and Safety Course - is a 7-hour lecture and
hands-on program for adults, designed to deal with all aspects
of computer use, ethics and technology crime. Participants are
given a manual to supplement their classroom experience.
Instructors are volunteer law enforcement, educators and
computer specialists from the community. Corporations and
schools donate use of classrooms. Continuing education credits
available for educators and law enforcement officers.
