| As more and more people got onto the internet,
a police detective in Seattle noticed more cases in her work
load that involved children as victims in Cyber
Crimes. Many of the cases could have been avoided if
the parents had known some basic information to keep their kids
safe online.
The Internet and Your Child Program was developed to share
that basic information with people who are responsible to
oversee children's activities online. Classes are free
and put on by volunteer law enforcement officers and computer
professionals.
